Guelph PC’s Gear Up for October 6, 2011
Guelph, Ontario, May 7, 2011 – On Wednesday, May 4, immediately following the federal election on Monday, May 2, the Board of Directors for the Guelph Provincial PC Association met to begin working again toward the October 6, 2011 provincial election. This work had been interrupted by the drop of the
Federal writ in late March, 2011, and the subsequent 5-week federal campaign period.
A new Board of Directors was elected at the GPPCA’s Annual General Meeting at the Evergreen Centre on March 23, 2011. On May 4, the Board selected Allan Boynton to be the President of the Association.
Allan is a longtime member of the PC Party in Ontario. His community involvement includes serving a 4-year term as Councillor for the Township of East Garafraxa. An entrepreneur with his own business (The Allan Boynton Marketing Group), Allan says that he "believes in Progressive Conservative values and the grass roots policies that our party offers. We have a great chance to elect a PC candidate in October and have the representation Guelph desperately needs in Queen’s Park."
As President, Allan will be the primary spokesperson for the GPPCA. He can be reached at 519-803-9994 or allanboyntonmg@gmail.com.

On August 25, 2005, at Marden Park, we refreshed an old tradition of hosting a Pig Roast and Corn-Fest for the PC Riding Association and guests.
On a beautiful summer evening we had just shy of 60 people. Through the efforts of many the pig was perfectly cooked, the corn was sweet and the atmosphere warm. Since the BBQ, attendees have made many positive comments, all of whom look forward to next year.
Many, many people helped to make the event the success it was. Special recognition to Ron Moses and Charlie Whittaker who rose very early in the morning to greet the pig and attend to it all day long.
